Phyllis Zinghini’s traditional method tattoo was a highlight of the day.
She gave her first dance with the malu which she got two months ago.
From her knees to her thighs she has the traditional markings which is still applied today just as it was centuries ago.
The master of tattooing begins their work with the needles, often made of bird bone, turtle shell and occasionally shark teeth. Tattooing itself is a process of multiple taps.
