Money Order / Cashier's Check - If you are nervous about using an online payment service, feel free to go 'Old School' and send us a money order or cashier's check.  While we will accept any currency, US Dollars (drawn on a US bank or International money order) are preferred!  However, if  you do not send us a money order or cashier's check drawn on a US bank and in US dollars, please be aware that it will seriously delay your order, as we must wait until the funds have cleared our bank before we can process your order! If you are ordering from outside North America, we strongly recommend that you use PayPal!

The Ordering/Shipping Process

Once your payment has been received, we will order your books from our supplier.  We will, generally, receive your books (here at Body Adorned) within 2-3 weeks and you should receive them within the following week.  Because these books are coming from Japan, it sometimes longer to some books than others.  We will send you your books as they arrive here- it's not uncommon for orders to arrive in multiple shipments. 

In order to provide the best Japanese tattoo art reference books at such low prices, we do not maintain a backstock- we order just what is ordered from us.  Occaisionally, we can make arrangements to expedite an order; but this is only done on a case-by-case basis and is not always possible.  Feel free to ask us, but we can make no promises.

If you have questions about the status of your order, please email us or call Body Adorned at 512.474.8282 (7 days a week, 1PM-11PM central US time) and ask for Nick or Shane.  We will do our best to let you know what is going on. Please keep in mind, though, that we are tattoo artists and if we are in the middle of a tattoo, we may not be able to talk to you!  If that's the case, we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as we're done or we get a break- be patient!

Returns/Refunds

We want our clients to be happy- if there is anything wrong with a book you purchase from us (unless noted at time of sale), or if one of your books is damaged in transit (we insure all the books we mail out) we will refund your money or send you a replacement book- it's your choice.  Even if you get the book and find it's not what you expected (for some reason), we'll refund your money; as long as the book is returned to us in the same condition it was when it was sent to you.  However, we will not continue to do business with anyone who abuses this guarantee.  Please do not order books you're not sure of, books you just want to 'borrow' from us or books you plan to return to us. This will not be tolerated.  It's unfortunate that we need to say this, but because of some people we do!

Special Orders

We love special orders!  Bring 'em on!  We are always on the hunt for new Japanese tattoo art reference books.  If you know of a Japanese book, or are looking for a specific Japanese tattoo reference book, art reference book, armour reference book, cloth pattern reference book, cultural reference book, mythology reference book or any other related book, PLEASE let us know! If the book is still in print, or still widely available, in Japan we can get it through our supplier.

In order to process a special order, all we need is:

• ISBN Number - this number is located on the back of ALL printed books.   OR
• A Good Picture (photo, scan, etc.) Of The Cover.

 Send us an email with all the info you can find, and we'll do our best to locate it for you.

**Hint: If you have a friend with an amazing collection of Japanese art books or tattoo reference books, and he/she is willing to share them with you, get the ISBN numbers and we'll try to locate them for you.

We are, currently, looking for volunteers in Japan to help us locate out-of-print books; and we're trying to work with our supplier to see if they can branch into that area for us.  Our hope is that, in the not-to-distant-future, we'll be able to offer a book-finder service for out-of-print-books.  If/when this happens, we'll be sure to let everyone who has ordered from us know and we'll post it all over the BodyAdorned.com site.  If you know of anyone that would be willing to help us in Japan, please send us an email!

***Abuse of "Verified Professional Tattoo Artist Add to Cart" PayPal button.

Everyone makes mistakes.  But, if we find that you have attempted to use the PayPal button designated for "Verified Tattoo Artists" without being authorized by us to do so, we will stop your order immediately and email you requesting the proper amount of money for the books you ordered.  If you fail to provide the balance due in a timely (within 48 Hours) manner, we will begin a refund of your money MINUS a $25.00 US service charge on all orders under $100 and a $50.00 service charge for orders over $100.  If it comes to this, you will also be prohibitted from using our store again and we will notify PayPal of the attempt to defraud us.  This discount is given, out of the kindness of our hearts, to professional tattoo artist to help further the industry and to make good reference materials available to tattoo artists who can't afford even the regular price of the books they need.  Trying to abuse this gift to the art comunity is an affront to ALL artists and will be dealt with swiftly, and SEVERELY.  Even our regular prices are BELOW ANY competitors prices- in fact we are charging roughly the same price as the stores in Japan- so there's NO NEED for anyone who isn't deserving of this discount to try and use it.  Be fair to the art community and use the button your supposed to, OK?  We really don't want to deal with this!

Our Philosophy

At BodyAdorned.com, our goal is to help tattoo artists to get the very best tattoo reference materials available- especially Japanese Art Reference Books that focus on the type of subject matter that is most often used in traditional Japanese tattoo designs. Unlike many suppliers, we aren't interested in charging an arm and a leg- we want to provide tattoo artists  with the best tattoo reference books from Japan at LOW, LOW prices!  In fact, one of our goals is to remain the CHEAPEST source of these high quality books!

The funny thing is: we're, probably, the smallest supplier of Japanese Tattoo Reference Books; and yet we have the best prices around!  The reason we do this is, obviously, not the money!  We believe that the more available we make this high-quality Japanese art reference and tattoo reference, the better work artists will produce- at least from those that buy and study these books!  In the end, this means better artists which will improve our industry- a benefit to everyone!
