Meghan Pagliaroni is considered among the best tattoo artists in the country, having been chosen to be one of 10 contestants on a reality television show called “Best Ink” that premiers Tuesday at 10 p.m. on the Oxygen cable network.
The winner of the competition walks away with $100,000 and will be featured on the cover of Tattoo magazine that hits newsstands June 12. The reveal is on May 22 when the final episode airs.
Pagliaroni, 23, a resident of Warren, R.I., and a former student at Somerset High School, is a tattoo artist at X Body Art on Swansea Mall Drive in Swansea. She spent last August in Los Angeles talking about her art form, practicing it, and mugging it up for the cameras.
More than a year ago she and others from the tattoo studio attended a casting call in Boston where they went through interviews and had to show what they could do. She was called back for a second interview and two days after that was told she had made the cut to be on the reality television show.
