DISS rugby coach Phil Sharpe believes no one can question his commitment or pride towards the Mackenders outfit, after sticking to his promise of having the club’s badge tattooed to his behind.
The cheeky proposition came about after a number of the squad and Sharpe himself, agreed to have the crest and date, December 17, 2011, tattooed in the unusual place following a momentous and first ever 26-13 victory over their arch rivals North Walsham at Scottow.
Being a man of his word, Sharpe carried through with the agreement, as shown, and he believes it is not only an everlasting memory of that famous victory but the significance it represents to the club as a whole.
“For me the tattoo represents the overall pride that I have in the club and what it means to me,” he said.
