Reasons to remove tattoos are as varied as reasons to get them

It's a bit like a confessional, the waiting area within the Hindsight Tattoo Removal clinic in Chicago where patients sit and stare at mistakes they have inked into their flesh — mistakes that will momentarily be zapped by a laser and start to fade away.
Missy Krouse, 31, wants to obliterate the heart she painted into her hand with ink and a needle while attending McHenry High School back in the 1990s.
Bryna Hahn, 32, of Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, is keeping most of the tattoos that cover her body, but the thick blue waves on her forearm remind her of a past love she would like to forget.
Mollie Linn's parents bought her a tattoo-removal session as a birthday present because, she said, the peace sign that accessorizes their daughter's wrist makes a lousy first impression on prospective employees, particularly those interviewing the 23-year-old for nanny jobs.
"I usually cover it up with a Band-Aid," said Linn, who lives in the Wicker Park neighborhood.
