Stark artists honor presidents with unique exhibit

Patriotism has its own holiday. So Stark County-area artists are going to go ahead and celebrate it.
From 7 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, Art Bomb Tattoos will celebrate Presidents Day with “A Presidential Art Show,” a one-night exhibit featuring the works of 43 artists.
“One of our tattoo artists has been on us to do something for Presidents Day for years,” Art Bomb manager and head piercer Rob Church said. “We had always wanted to do a group art show, so we combined the two. We compiled a list of artists we knew and branched out from there.”
The greatest task, Church assumed, would be finding enough artists to participate in the show. But once word about the show got out and artists learned that the sales of their work would benefit the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, they were eager to hop on board.
“I was concerned about wrangling up 43 different artists, but we did really well,” Church said.
